Called by Nature-Jamacho

I never thought of writing a blog for myself. But as time passed, my interest in travel started increasing and I wanted to share my stories with the people. As we decided to go on a hike every weekend, I wanted to include my best people in this time of travel. I asked all the close friends of mine but we five could make it happen. They were so much happy with my previous blog post about my travel to Bishnudwaar that they wanted to join me.

I have always liked to travel through forests and mountains. I don’t know why but seeing mountains even from Kathmandu makes me feel like I need to keep looking at them for a whole day. I get so excited with so much overexpression when I see mountains. Haha, that’s who I am. I am slowly doing what makes me happy and travelling is one of those things. I believe the previous hike to Bishnudwaar reduced my stress by more than 70%. So this week, we decided to hike to Jamacho Gumba.

We left for the hike from Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park, 500 m away from Balaju bypass. As I am always afraid of steep hills, I was afraid this hike might entail them as well. I guess my fears came true as it was a steep hill with stone ladders. We walked for one hour and had breakfast. There was a small ground but it was good place to rest. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see the beautiful view because of the pollution. The sad part was Kathmandu and other parts of the country had experienced smog due to air pollution and forest fire in hundreds of places in 40+ districts just before our hike.

We reached the Jamacho Gumba but the view was not as we had expected. We couldn’t see the view from the top but the air and the environment on the way was amazing. We had a really good time on the way up and back, we rested and had lunch on the way back which had cooked and brought from our own home. We took pics singing-dancing as I love to sing and dance, even though I am a bad singer and dancer. My only motive to travel is to be stress-free after five days of work and have a good time with my friends. Our legs were shaking while we were coming back from the road.

It was a little more difficult hike than before but it was worth it because of the fresh air and the sound of the birds. And what I liked about the national park the most was that they kept records for individuals to keep track of whether all the people came back or not.

But there is another part was, as per the army guidance we parked our vehicle just in front of the gate and when we returned they charged us fine for parking. But the only reason we parked there was because they told us to park there. That was the one thing we didn’t like about the national park. So, we advice anyone planing to go there to clearly ask about the parking situation before entering the reserve.

We were tired and like always we went for a coffee at Golfutar. We hung out at the cafe and played Jenga. And I was surprised I didn’t feel pain on that day but too much pain the day after the hike.

It was worth the trip as I feel I am a happy person for a while.
