JBL Endurance Peak II Review: Or How I Learned to Hate It Even More

We all made fun of AirPods back when they came out but look where we are…

While I still think the stems look super weird, I can’t deny that the convenience of wireless has a certain appeal.

But like a lot of Apple products, AirPods (Pro or Amateur) will give you a rude awakening once you see the price.

But there’s cheaper alternatives, right?

Definitely, but the answer isn’t whatever the fuck I ended up buying.

Wanting to Be Into Things I am Not Into

I hate doing Yoga. I really, really hate it. Stretching I’ll do, flexibility exercises. I will do it. Pilates is fine. But something about doing Yoga—even if it involved doing the same thing I had already been doing, feels like a chore. Cronometer is a calorie tracking app that enables you to log how many calories you consume and burn throughout the day. The best part of the app is that it lets you track your micronutrient intake even in the free version. So, along with your macro intake, you can see the breakdown of your vitamin and mineral intake.

It is just one of the many examples, along with the saccharine sweet tea from my village, chola samosa from Nepalganj, machha fry from Malekhu, of the way I remember and understand places through their food.

Homecoming 1

IMG_3597.JPG

I look out the window of the bus and wait for the horizon to showcase the dazzling mountain range. Seeing the Annapurna range would prove that I’m getting closer to home. But I don’t see it even after I get off the bus and start walking towards home. And even though I’m a bit disappointed, I’m also comforted by the large scoops of clouds that cover the sky. Because the downcast sky and the moody rainfalls are part of what makes this city home.
