Wanting to Be Into Things I am Not Into

I hate doing Yoga. I really, really hate it. Stretching I’ll do, flexibility exercises. I will do it. Pilates is fine. But something about doing Yoga—even if it involved doing the same thing I had already been doing, feels like a chore. I am probably the only one in my friend group to not fall into the irresistible charm of Yoga With Adriene.

Colorful Desires and Colorless Culture – Seto Dharti 10 Years Later

Seto Dharti, one of the most important books in modern literature, turns 10 this year. The book follows the story of a child widow as she goes through many hardships in her life. Tara was born on the date of the 1934 earthquake. This was one of the worst earthquakes in the country’s history. Homecoming 1

I look out the window of the bus and wait for the horizon to showcase the dazzling mountain range. Seeing the Annapurna range would prove that I’m getting closer to home. But I don’t see it even after I get off the bus and start walking towards home. And even though I’m a bit disappointed, I’m also comforted by the large scoops of clouds that cover the sky. Because the downcast sky and the moody rainfalls are part of what makes this city home.
